Why I Started the Beyond the Words Community

Since the very beginning, when my YouTube channel really started to grow, I’ve known that the mission of my channel and this ministry has been to help people grow in their relationship with the Lord, and specifically in their ability to understand the Bible.

Because when we better understand the Bible, we’re better able to sense what God is saying to us through the scriptures - what lessons Jesus was trying to teach his disciples, what message God was trying to communicate to the Israelites, and how all of that applies to our lives today.

And one of the things I’ve tried to do is to help people understand the Bible better by understanding the world of Jesus better - the context, the culture, the land.

Well, one of the things I’ve tried to figure out for a long time is how to do all of that in a systematic way where people can actually see their growth, and really have a better opportunity to grow.

I know that if all I ever do is create a lot of random videos, they may help people here and there, but there won’t be a lasting Kingdom impact. And that’s what I believe God wants all of us to do, to have a lasting Kingdom impact!

So, for a long time, I’ve prayed about how to do that. And recently God answered in a really exciting way.

You see, back in 2020, when COVID was surging a friend and I dreamed about creating an online community where people could grow spiritually together. But we kept running into the problem of technology - the technology just didn’t exist for us to be able to do it and do it well.

But now it does! And for the past few months, I’ve been working to build this community. 

It’s called the Beyond the Words Community. And it’s a place where you can come to not only receive teachings from me, but also to connect with one another, ask your questions, share resources, and have a systematic plan for spiritual growth.

And so, let me take you through the community right now and show you what it’s all about.
